Sloane Stephens announces engagement to Jozy Altidore
After about three years of dating, Grand Slam champion Sloane Stephens and soccer player Jozy Altidoregot engaged and immediately announced the news on Instagram, giving us insight into their big day.
The 26-year-old Stephens posted the above photo with caption “Forever yes”. The 29-year-old Altidore is looking forward to his future with the tennis star and his Instagram post reads “Forever starts now <3”.
Stephens and Altidore have known each other since childhood, having both grown up in Florida, but only in recent years have the romantic sparks started flying. They became much more public with their relationship, sharing their vacation, holiday and other special moments on Instagram.
Both Stephens and Altidore have excelled in their careers, so we can say they’re America’s sports power couple. Stephens wrote her name in tennis history by winning the 2017 US Open and she’s still going strong, which is reflected in her No.8 ranking (her highest ranking was No.3). Altidore, the youngest of four children to Haitian immigrants, has made over 100 appearances for the US international soccer team and has played in top leagues in Europe and North America.
Altidore has a four-and-a-half year old son from one previous relationship and Stephens loves spending time with the little guy.

Meet Tamaki Osaka & Leonard Francois; they are the amazing and proud parents of Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, world No. 17 on the ATP world rankings since July 23, 2018.
Naomi is the younger of two daughters born to Tamaki Osaka & Leonard François, Tamaki hails from Japan, Francois was born in Haiti; he met Tamaki in New York where he was studying at the New York University. they dated for a few years and eventually tied the knot.They were living in Osaka, Japan when they welcomed Mari, their eldest born on April 3, 1996; subsequently, on October 16, 1997, came Naomi. Francois and Tamaki decided to give their daughters, their mom’s maiden name since they were living in Japan.
“It was mostly a practical question when they lived in Japan, useful for enrolling in schools and renting apartments.”
Leonard started training Mari and Naomi since they were four and three respectively, they moved to the U.S. along with Leonard’s parents in 2006.
“I grew up surrounded by Haitian and Japanese culture Naomi Osaka says. His father’s parents, who did not speak English, spoke Haitian Creole. My grandparents cooked West Indian recipes like “spicy Haitian stew”.
Leonard found that the U.S. tennis Association showed little interest in Mari and Naomi, therefore he chose the Japanese Tennis Association. Naomi finally made into the on the WTA Tou in 2014.

When is the second leg between Barcelona and Liverpool, for the Champions League?
Barcelona are looking to return to the UEFA Champions League final but will have to beat Liverpool in the semi-finals. The crossing begins at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, May 1 but the return and decisive encounter will be on Anfield Road.
The decisive match will be at Anfield Road on May 7 at 9:00 p.m.
The return will be next Tuesday, May 7 at the stadium of the British team from 21 hours, at which time the first finalist of the final of the tournament will be held on Saturday, June 1, in the Metropolitan Wanda.
