Bayern Munich will play Saturday in Mönchengladbach without three important players, the Brazilian Douglas Costa, Dutchman Arjen Robben and the Austrian David Alaba, coach Josep Guardiola said on Friday.
Alaba, meanwhile, missing several weeks with an injury in the right knee capsule and, although trained with the group again, will not be ready for tomorrow.
"It's a shame because they are important players, but we have others. We must accept it," Guardiola resigned, explaining that Alaba not play again in the remainder of 2015.
Douglas Costa and Robben, with muscle problems, and Alaba injured left ankle victory over Hertha Berlin last weekend and lost. Robben has already returned to training with the team but still does not feel fully fit so Guardiola chose to do without it.
"He has said he is not fit," Guardiola said.
Regarding Costa, there is hope to return to play before the winter break.
These absences are added to the French Franck Ribery, sidelined since nearly nine months ago, and Mario Götze, Thiago Alcántara and Juan Bernat.
For Ribery, Guardiola hopes he can return before the end of this year.
"Franck has good coach this week. After nine months no longer has pain, that makes us happy. I think I will be back to the call before the winter break, but still do not know when," said Spanish coach.
Bayern are unbeaten leader in the Bundesliga, eight points clear of Borussia Dortmund (2nd), when there are only three weeks to the end of the first round of the championship.
Götze, who suffered a groin injury playing for Germany will not return to the court before January.
In the Champions League it is already qualified for the knockout stages, as in the German Cup.
