Fury stripped of his IBF title against Klitschko made


Tyson Fury, WBA-WBO-IBF heavyweight after his victory over Vladimir Klitschko in November, was stripped of the IBF Belt for having agreed to a rematch with the Ukrainian rather than accept battle appointed by the International Boxing Federation, the BBC reported Wednesday.
"It is true that has been stripped of his IBF title belt," confirmed the president of the IBF Lindsey Tucker told the BBC. "Our candidate was Vyacheslav Glazkov, but Fury decided to sign a rematch clause with Vladimir Klitschko," said leader .
The self-proclaimed "King of the Gypsies" was the surprise on November 28 in Duesseldorf points to beat Klitschko, who had not been beaten since 2004.
The Ukrainian boxer called on December 2 a rematch with the British, as was stipulated in the contract. The date and place of that bout will be negotiated between the two parties, announced Klitschko manager Bernd Bönte.
