Grêmio wins direct confrontation in the Arena and take wave of Santos on G4

Grêmio reacted to his fans after two straight defeats and interrupted the momentary rise of Santos in the Brazilian Championship. In direct confrontation for the fight at the top of the table, on Wednesday, the Tricolor got the better with an exciting and dramatic victory 3-2 over the beachy alvinegro. In addition to ending the chance of the fish to take the national lead in this 12th round after 10 years and two months, the gauchos still took the Santos vacancy within the G4, regardless of the results of other games.
The Saints paid for the lack of concentration at crucial moments of the duel at the Arena in Porto Alegre. After just three minutes, the team Dorival Junior took the first goal after Giuliano took rebound given by Vanderlei. And almost in stoppage time of the first stage, much like throw, it was time to take batting Douglas alvinegro the goalkeeper. The Fish cashed in the second half with striker Jonathan Copete, who made his debut when entering the range, and wasted no deviation Gustavo Henrique in the left corner. In the final minutes, Zeca scored a great goal from outside the area and leveled everything but Lucas Lima lost a ball dominated the field of defense and Hermes took the gremistas delirious already at 44 the second time.
Now with 21 points, Gremio prepares for the Gre-Nal Sunday in Beira Rio, at 11 am. But the Saints seek the reaction the same day, but at 16 am, at Vila Belmiro, against Chapecoense.
Two rebounds two goals
The expectation before the ball rolling was great game in Porto Alegre because the two teams are so close in the standings. But while Gremio came into prepared ground for a decision, the Saints ended up paying for inattention in the opening minutes. The Dorival Junior defenders did not resist the pressure the ball out and were surprised. Éverton received the left, cleaned and pounded.Vanderlei splayed and Giuliano has not forgiven the rebound: 1-0 Tricolor with only 2 minutes.
The fish took to get into the rhythm of the match and almost saw the injury get worse in the next minute. Douglas dominated inside the area after a corner and crossed at the head of defender Rafael, who played over the crossbar and nearly doubled the lead.
Only then the Santos until then stunned, managed to be calm and put the ball down. After 7 minutes, Lucas Lima served Victor Ferraz on the right. The side crossed back and Rodrigão hit danger. It was the beginning of alvinegro domain, at least in the question of possession, as the striker's shot was the only move broke the defense Grêmio throughout the first half.
With the mist back to the arena, as it has in many Sorority games at home, the pace slowed and disputes began to be concentrated in midfield. Giuliano just managed to stand the defensive system after 28 minutes on the back of Victor Ferraz, but Vanderlei saved with the save point blank.
And when all seemed to wait for the referee's whistle to rest in the dressing rooms, the Gauchos scored again much like the first goal bid. At 44, Éverton underwent Luis Felipe and Victor Ferraz and hit cross. Vanderlei returned to rebut the completion and Douglas 'preached' goalkeeper, without letting the ball fall in amis a rebound.
Emotion to the end
with the score 2-0 against Dorival Junior had already move in the range and promoted the Colombian striker's debut Jonathan Copete. Vitor Bueno has been drawn. In the field, however, things went bad for the Paulistas. Grêmio repeated the dose to press in the first minutes and Everton almost scored after receiving cross by Marcelo Oliveira and beat cross. The ball shaved Vanderlei beam.
The goalkeeper must work even harder twice in the first 10 minutes in finishing Giuliano and Edilson. The Saints could not be creative, despite Lucas Lima the frame and three strikers up front.
Only after 19 minutes the fish arrived. Gabriel made solo raid down the right and filled the foot. Marcelo Grohe avoided the Santos goal. But the collection of the corner, the Grêmio goalkeeper could do nothing. Gustavo Henrique won at the top and the ball fell to Copete, who had freedom to dominate and stewing networks. 2 to 1 and a new game in the Arena.
The pressure moved aside and Santos launched once the attack. Dorival, for it also put in place Yuri Gustavo Henrique for the former player of Audax could play the role of defender, but using his refined technique to help the ball out.Grêmio only responded after 27 minutes when Luan received intersection of Douglas and wasted a great chance, head.
And who does not, take. Already say the popular saying. And once again it was well on the pitch. After 37 minutes, Zeca appeared diagonally and ventured outside the area. The left side, which is right-handed, 'caught in the vein', no chance for the Grêmio goalkeeper, and decreed the score level. In this way, the Saints kept their place in the G4 and let the rival out.
But to conclude an exciting and worthy match of two teams that promise to fight for the title this season, a goal after 44 minutes changed the whole scenario.Lucas Lima lost the ball in the defense field and complicated the Santos defense. Giuliano served Hermes, who beat Vanderlei first in output and made the nearly 15,000 fans in the stands burst of joy, especially after the final whistle, which came after four dramatic minutes of injury time.
