The mother-in-law of British businessman Bernie Ecclestone, president of the company that manages the world championship racing in Formula One, was kidnapped in Sao Paulo, according to local media reported today.
Brazil Aparecida Schunck Flosi Palmeira, 67 and mother of Fabiana Flosi, Ecclestone current wife, was kidnapped on Friday at his residence in the southern part of the country's largest city, reported Tuesday the television channel Globo.
According to reports, the kidnappers have maintained contact with relatives of the victim and the authorities, meanwhile, they have not yet ruled on the fact.
Fabiana Flosi Ecclestone met in 2009 during the celebration of the Brazilian Grand Prix, one of the stages of the world circuit of Formula One that is held every year at the Autodromo Interlagos, and the couple were married three years later.
Some local media said the kidnappers for ransom worth 120 million reais ($ 39.5 million).
Ecclestone, 85, has an estimated 3,100 billion according to Forbes magazine and lives with his Brazilian wife in England fortune.
