US swimmer Katie Ledecky broke his own record to win the gold medal in the 400m freestyle at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro thanks to a time of 3 minutes 56.46 seconds.
British Jazz Carlin silver medal and US Leah Smith took the bronze. Ledecky led from the start and surpassed the mark of 3: 58.37 that won in Australia two years ago.
