Court of Arbitration for Sport tightens with the decision on the claims of our swimmers who seek to be admitted to the Olympic Games in Rio. It's about Nikita Lobintseve and Vladimir Morozov, they were mentioned in the report of the so-called Commission for McLaren, and Yulia Efimova - it had previously been disqualified for using banned substances, but has already served the punishment.
The verdict on the plan had to endure the day before, but is it or not. Sources of news agencies reported that the decision likely will announce today, but a shift timing can be explained by the fact that the arbitration develops a common position on all Russian athletes who were not admitted to the games, but have filed or intend to file an appeal.
Meanwhile, the head of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach said that the decision did not remove all of the Russian national team games, as demanded by some countries, based on principles of justice. He said this at the opening of the next IOC Session, which was launched in Brazil in the run-up to the Olympics.
"This decision is based on justice. Justice can not depend on politics. Because of the seriousness of the charges we were not able to comply with the presumption of innocence of the Russian sportsmen. But we can not deprive the athlete of the legitimate right of any person - to prove his innocence, "- Thomas Bach said.
