The Belgian defender Thomas Vermaelen , Barcelona, will play on loan at AS Roma next season, as reported by the Catalan club.
The romanista entity is contractually committed to "involve the player is active" during the year of transfer. The agreement includes a purchase option by the Italian club at the end of the assignment.
Vermaelen, 30, arrived at the Catalan club in the summer of 2014, but has not had any continuity in the team, especially because of physical problems.
The defense could go to the romanista set for about two million euros in a deal that could mean a total of eight to ten million for barcelonistas, in the event that the final sale occurs.
The output of the Belgian will be the sixth that occurs in a few weeks, after those of Dani Alves ( Juventus ), Sandro Ramirez (Málaga), Adriano Correia (Besiktas), Marc Bartra (Borussia Dortmund) and Martin Montoya ( Valencia ).
The next player who could soon leave the Barca team is Christian Tello, while Brazilian defender Douglas counts for coach Luis Enrique Martinez.
