Liliana Fernandez and Elsa Baquerizo not exceed knockout
The Spanish couple formed by Liliana Fernandez Steiner and Elsa Baquerizo could not overcome the second round of the Open Fuzhou ( China ), which counts towards the World Tour beach volleyball, losing with US Lane Carico and Summer Ross 2-1.
The Spanish, seeded ninth, lost after 46 minutes into the match 21-18, 17-21 and 15-10.
With this result, the Spanish players still maintain their chances of going to the Games in Rio.

Herrera and Gavira get the bronze medal
The Spanish pair formed by Pablo Herrera and Adrian Gavira won the bronze medal in the Open Fuzhou ( China ), valid for the World Tour beach volleyball after beating the Latvians Aleksandrs Samoilovs and Janis Smedins 2-1 (17-21, 21-19, 15-12).
The fight for bronze was complicated by rival and rain and thunderstorm broke, although Herrera and Gavira better circumstances adapted and repeated medal after gold gained in the Open Xiamen last week.
Earlier in the semifinals, the Spaniards lost in the semifinals against Italian Paolo Nicolai and Daniele Lupo 21-19 and 21-13 in just 36 minutes.
Herrera and Gavira get this result with $ 6,000 in prize money and 400 points for the ranking.

Brazilian Emanuel Rego, beach volleyball legend, announces his retirement
The Brazilian Emanuel Rego, beach volleyball legend announced his retirement from the sport at age 42 and after failing to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
"It's very hard to stay out of the Olympics in my country," Emanuel told the Globo television, announcing its withdrawal from the sport in which he won all possible titles.
The player, who turns 43 next April, said he will bid farewell to the competition next week during the stage of Rio de Janeiro on the world circuit.
Emanuel participated in all editions of the Olympic Games which have been beach volleyball competitions since the sport was introduced to the Olympic schedule at Atlanta 1996.
In Athens 2004 he won the gold medal in Beijing 2008 bronze both times next to Ricardo Santos , with whom he built one of the most successful couples in the history of the sport.
London 2012 said goodbye to the Games with a silver medal with Alison Cerutti, player yes participate in Rio 2016.
Emanuel went on to earn three World Cups (1999, 2003 and 2011) and also won ten times the world circuit and hung gold in two editions of the Pan American Games.
The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) recognized the Brazilian as the best player in the 90s.
