Women are not strong enough to drive a Formula 1 car, estimated Tuesday the promoter Bernie Ecclestone.
"I do not think a woman has the physical capabilities to drive fast an F1 car, and was not taken seriously," said Ecclestone on the sidelines of a conference in London.
Currently there are no women in Formula 1 since the retired test pilot Susie Wolff in November 2015.
Ecclestone, 85, however believes that women will increasingly occupy positions of responsibility in all areas. "Women are more competent and have an inflated ego," he said.
Also he said to be totally in favor of a Brexit, the output of the United Kingdom of the European Union, which will be submitted to a referendum on 23 June.
