Midfielder Manchester City Fabian Delph has fallen Thursday of the call for the England squad for Euro France next summer through injury.
As confirmed at a press conference the coach of the 'Three Lions', Roy Hodgson , Delph suffered a sore groin and did not travel with the rest of his teammates to Sunderland , where on Friday the team faces in a friendly match with Australia .
"Delph has not traveled with us. It has been in Manchester, which means it will not be included in the list of 23" Hodgson said today.
Thus the call for England is reduced to 25 names, so the coach will have to discard only two players ahead of the continental competition (June 10-July 10).
The 'Pross' in their preparations for the European Championship, played last Sunday against Turkey at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester (2-1) and will meet with Australia on Friday in Sunderland and against Portugal , on June 2, in the London's Wembley stadium.
England are drawn in Group B of Euro selections France with Russia, Wales and Slovakia.
Men Hodgson started his career in the competition on June 11 against Russia in Marseille, before facing four days later against Wales in Lens and close their participation in the group stage on June 20 against Slovakia, in Saint -Etienne.
