Edgardo Bauza was appointed today new Argentina coach. Diego Simeone , Marcelo Bielsa , Jorge Sampaoli, Mauricio Pochettino , Eduardo Berizzo , Miguel Angel Russo , Ramon Diaz and Marcelo Gallardo are just some of the candidates the Argentine Football Association (AFA) that fell by the wayside.
Bauza, Sao Paulo coach was the first coach who met with Armando Perez, president of the regulatory committee of the AFA. However, it was not the favorite coach Perez.
Normalizador committee chairman tried to talk to Marcelo Bielsa, but the former coach of Athletic Club de Bilbao refused to meet with Perez claiming "not be indicated for technical now."
The manager also expressed on several occasions its willingness to offer the post of coach to coach Atletico Madrid , Diego Simeone, but the 'Cholo' chose to stay ahead of the Spanish team.
On July 28, Perez announced he would travel to Europe to try to talk with Jorge Sampaoli, Sevilla coach Eduardo Berizzo, Celta de Vigo.
"If we agree economically with Sevilla, Sampaoli will be the new coach next week," Perez said at the time. But attempts to convince managers to release Sevilla coach failed.

Bauza replace Gerardo 'Tata' Martino, who resigned on July 5, "due to the uncertainty in the appointment of new authorities of the Argentine Football Association and the serious drawbacks for forming the team that represents the country in the next Olympic Games ".
Julio Olarticoechea , sub'20 interim coach, took over the team that will participate in Rio de Janeiro while the AFA was looking for a new coach.
Bauza debut on September 1 in the province of Mendoza (West Argentina ), when the national team receives Uruguay in the seventh round of the South American qualifiers. Five days later he will visit Venezuela , in Merida.
The Albiceleste is third in the standings with eleven points, two of the leaders: Uruguay and Ecuador .
Chile , which ranks last direct the World ranking, has ten points, same amount as Colombia , which is fifth. Brazil and Paraguay, sixth and seventh, respectively, have nine.
