The Spanish coach Roberto Martinez , who was dismissed last May by The Everton after three seasons at the English club, has been named new coach of the Belgian national football team, the "Red Devils" .
"Our new coach: Roberto Martinez," said the team in his official account of the social network Twitter.
The Catalan coach, 43, was named today by the Royal Belgian Union of Societies Soccer Association (URBSFA) "to take charge of the Red Devils," the institution said in a statement.
Martinez will succeed Marc Wilmots , who left last July 15 being the coach of the Belgian football after failing to reach the goals it had set for Euro.
URBSFA said "is delighted and proud to have found so quickly that level technician to train our team."
"Having created a list of shortlisted candidates with the most interesting for this position profiles, the choice has fallen rapidly in the Spanish coach, who has shown honored to work with a group of players as talented as ours," he said URBSFA.

Gianluigi Buffon: "Neuer, Courtois and De Gea are all very full"

Belgium - National Team of the year - 2015
The Belgian football combined maintains, in the last update of the year, the first position in the FIFA world rankings which will allow consecrated as the "Team of the Year 2015".
The 'Red Devils' reached the top ranking for the first time in its history last month and with his victory, 3-1 over Italian box on 23 November in Brussels managed to consolidate its lead in the last assessment of 2015 .
