The Chinese Long Qingquan, in the category of 56 kilos, and Thai Hsu Shu-Ching, at 53, proclaron Olympic champions in weightlifting day of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Qingquain won his second Olympic gold after Beijing made eight years ago after adding a total of 307 kilos, new world record with 137 in snatch and 170 in two stages. Behind him, they completed the podium Yun Chol North Korea's Om (303) and Thai Sinphet Kruaithong (289).
Meanwhile, in the women's 53 kilos, the winner was the Taiwanese Shu-Ching improved his silver four years ago in London with a gold by lifting 212 kilos (100 + 112), finishing ahead of Philippine Hidilyn Diaz (200) and South Korea Yoon Jin-Hee (199).
